OB/GYN Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Hospital in Western Georgia

A clinic is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage.From the home of The Walking Dead to Georgia's largest state park, west Georgia has endless sights to see and explore!There will be a Monday through Friday schedule. Shifts run from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The role includes outpatient clinic with negotiable call coverage, serving as backup beeper call to 5 midwives on staff for both weeknights and weekends. The practice sees a high volume of OB patients (80% OB, 20% GYN), including high-risk cases, ultrasounds, amniocentesis, labor and delivery (routine, complicated, VBACs, C-sections), and some GYN surgery and minor procedures. The clinic is busy with appointments already booked through year-end, currently staffed by 2.5 physicians and 2 PAs (with one PA on leave). Support staff includes midwives, an ultrasound tech, and a PA. They prefer candidates who are already licensed or in the licensing process, but will consider IMLC candidates. Credentialing is expected to take up to 120 days, though efforts are being made to expedite the process.
