Gastroenterologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Eastern South Carolina

A health system is seeking a gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage.The facility is located in eastern South Carolina.The assignment requires a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist with a South Carolina medical license and a valid CSR prior to onboarding. The provider must also maintain a permanent DEA registration in South Carolina to retain privileges. Coverage is needed for one 7-day stretch per month (Friday 7am to the following Friday 7am) for at least 12 months, starting as soon as credentialing is complete. During this week, the locum will provide 24-hour hospital call, perform scheduled Endo lab procedures, handle consults, and cover 23 clinic days. The clinic operates from 8:20am to 4pm with an average of 3 patients per hour, and support is provided by a PA, LPN or MA, RN, CRNA, and Endo tech. An NP assists with inpatient consults Monday to Friday, 7am1pm. Required procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, and flex sig. The EMR system used is Epic, and credentialing takes approximately 3045 days.
