Envision Physician Services has an outstanding full-time opportunity for a Board Certified / Board Eligible Neonatologist to join our neonatology practice at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital (HDH) in Richmond, Virginia, in a state-of-the-art 40-bed Leve III NICU. Our team at HDH consists of long-time hospital partners with a well-trained and stable nursing team. With the support of an administrative team that is dedicated to the success of the NICU, we have partnered together to provide the best care for patients and families in the community. Opportunity Details:

  • Staffing Model: 6 full-time Neonatologists
  • Days are covered by 2 Neos (0730 – 1700)
  • Nights are covered in-house by 1 Neo (1700 – 0730)
  • Rotating 6-week schedule template provides continuity of care, equity in shift coverage (days, nights, weekends, holidays), and blocks of time off for work/life balance
  • Neonatal transport team is nurse-driven and supervised from the NICU by the attending on-call (avg 15 transports per year)
  • HDH 2025 Data (YTD through April):
    • NICU Admits - 130; NICU ADC – 14.3; Nursery ADC: 24.2
  • High frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, pediatric surgical patients, therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG
  • No cardiac surgery except for PDAs; no ECMO
  • On-site Cardiology, with additional support from VCU subspecialists
  • Pediatric Surgery support for on-site procedures
