Neonatologist - Work/Life Balance - 7 days on/7days off!

Envision Physician Services in partnership with Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital (RWCH) is seeking a dynamic, Neonatologist to join our team. This opportunity offers a unique work-life balance with the 7 on/7 off schedule and the in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage.

This position offers the benefit of a well-regarded, collegial team of clinicians who are developing care plans for a wide variety of cases and acuity levels. Practicing evidence-based medicine and instituting quality driven protocols are some of the team’s primary initiatives in this NICU. Additional highlights of the opportunity include:

• 34 bed, Level III NICU
• 2 Neonatologist/4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner model
• NNP in-house 24-hrs
• Neonatologist takes call from home after rounds
• 1,500 – 2,000 deliveries annually
• Newborn nursery rounds
• NNP Transport team (physician covers in house during transports)

With a continued emphasis on progressive care, Rapides Regional Medical Center has grown to meet the continually changing needs of patients and the rapidly advancing technology of modern healthcare. Located in downtown Alexandria and easily accessible from Interstate 49, the hospital is licensed for 328 beds and fully accredited by The Joint Commission. Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital (RWCH) provides quality care for the entire family. The fourth floor of RWCH is home to central Louisiana’s largest, most innovative Newborn Intensive Care Unit. RWCH is also home to Central Louisiana’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This six-bed unit is staffed by Pediatric Intensivists. In addition, RWCH offers a 19-bed pediatric unit, 29-bed well baby nursery and 26 OB/post-partum unit.
