A university hospital is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage.Step back in time at Colonial Williamsburg, a living history museum showcasing life in 18th-century America. Visit Jamestown Settlement or Busch Gardens Williamsburg for family-friendly fun and entertainment.The position requires proficiency in various obstetric and gynecological procedures and cases, including vaginal delivery, cesarean section, operative vaginal delivery (vacuum preferred, forceps not required), suction dilation and curettage, hysterectomy, incision and drainage, laparoscopic salpingectomy, and oophorectomy. Obstetric responsibilities encompass low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, ultrasounds, and amniocentesis, while labor and delivery duties include routine and complicated deliveries, VBACs, and C-sections. In gynecology, the role involves performing GYN surgeries, office and minor procedures, and circumcisions. On average, there are 100 deliveries per month, with 7 labor and delivery beds available. The facility uses the Oracle Cerner EMR system.
