Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women opened the Spence and Becky Wilson Children’s Hospital, which is home to their dedicated Pediatric Emergency Room which features 10-bays for patient care and 2,000 square foot diagnostic area. The Hardin Pediatric Center is the hospital’s inpatient Pediatric unit, which is specifically designed to meet children’s medical needs as well as their growth and developmental needs. In late 2016, the hospital opened their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which is open as 2-beds in a newly constructed 12-bed PICU in the Children’s Hospital. The transport service is going to cover maternal, neonatal, and pediatric transports. Transport mode will include air as well as ground. The Children’s Hospital is the pediatric referral system for over 20 hospitals in the Baptist system spanning over 200-miles in 3 states.
