Call Requirements: rotating weeknight on-call / no weekends
Alliance is seeking a board certified Neurologist to assist with M - F coverage 1 to 2 weeks per month ASAP. Please submit a current CV and give us a call today if you would like to be considered for this role.
Number of Physicians in Department: There will be 2 plus the locum coverage
Boards & Certification Requirements (BE/BC, ACLS, PALS, etc.): BC in Neurology - (They want an experienced Neurologist so not really interested in BE candidates or 'green' providers. ACLS or BCLS
Patient Population Mix (% of Peds, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatrics, Medicare, Medicaid, other): 90-95% Adult, 5-10% Pediatric
Average Number of Cases per day (patients,
inpatients, follow-ups, etc.): Clinic: New Patients Every 45 minutes from 8a-11:45a & 12:30p - 2p (Break from 11:45a-12:30p)
0-3 Consults and Rounding in Hospital per day to be done between 2p-5p
0-5 Pages per day that may/may not require provider to go into hospital
Description of support staff: LPNs, CMAs and receptionist staff
Locum Tenens work and call schedule: 1 day orientation prior to start (8a-5p)
Monday 7am start call; work OP clinic Monday through Friday 8a-~2pm then hospital until ~5p for rounding consults while keeping pager and on call until the following Monday at 7am.
Call Hand off every Monday at 7am.
Procedures Required (types of procedures to be performed by locum tenens provider): Locum needs to be comfortable with EMGs, EEG Interpretation.
To read/interpret carotid ultrasounds would be preferred but not required
Bread and Butter Outpatient as well and Inpatient NeuroHospitalist.
