Envision Physician Services is seeking a full-time, board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for our growing Level III NICU practice at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. • Staffing Model: 4 Neonatologists provide in-house coverage 24/7
  • One Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
• 41-bed Level III NICU that serves as a Regional Perinatal Center (RPICC) with a focus on family-centered care and equipped with NicView cameras
• 2,030 deliveries per year with 350 NICU admissions
• NICU is equipped to provide care for infants with medical conditions requiring intensive care and premature infants with a gestational age of 23 weeks and higher
• Jersey City Medical City offers advanced treatments, including oscillator and jet ventilation, iNO therapy, and therapeutic hypothermia
• HFVO/Exclusive human milk diet for LBW infants (donor milk + Human milk-based fortifier)
• Evidence-based medicine is a strong focus with monthly journal club meetings with physicians and nurses, participation in the Vermont Oxford Network, and opportunities to do clinical research

Responsibilities:

In your role as an NNP, you will be responsible for:

• Caring for full-term and late preterm infants in the newborn nursery
• Attending deliveries for high-risk Vaginal Delivery and C-sections
• Conducting neonatal resuscitation when required
• Participating in daily rounds in the NICU
• Performing procedures as needed, such as central line placement, intubation, chest tube insertion, and exchange transfusion.
• Managing admissions and discharges in both the NICU and Newborn Nursery
• Overseeing daily responsibilities in the NICU and Newborn Nursery

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization
• Current state NNP certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Facility Description:

Jersey City Medical Center is located on a 15-acre campus overlooking the New York Harbor and Liberty State Park. From some areas within the hospital, you can see the Statue of Liberty.
