Envision Physician Services is seeking full-time, board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner's for our practice that supports Chippenham Hospital and Johnston-Willis in Richmond, Virginia.

Details about the opportunity/NICU are listed below:

  • $20K Start Date/Relocation Bonus for candidates who can start before October 2022
  • Staffing Model/Schedule:
    • 2 Neonatologists, 4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at each facility, you will be on staff at both, but have a primary site
    • 24 hr. shifts for NNP
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Attend deliveries & facilitate admissions
    • Manage NICU and Newborn Nursery patients
    • Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds to provide active management of NICU patients including but not limited to vent weaning, nutrition adjustments, lab review, and meeting with families

Chippenham is a 466-acute bed hospital with a Level I trauma provisional accreditation. The birth center is designed with spacious labor and delivery and recovery suites, a mother/baby unit with couplet care, advanced equipment and easy access to the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

    • Newborn Admits 95%

Johnston-Willis is a 292-bed facility with a brand new 20 bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that opened in February 2021. The new facility provides individual private rooms that allow parents to remain with their babies for the duration of their care.

  • Johnston-Willis Hospital Data:
    • Deliveries – 1,700
    • NICU and Newborn ADC: 20
    • Newborn Admits: 95%
  • High frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, therapeutic hypothermia, pediatric surgery
  • No cardiac surgery, except for PDAs; no ECMO
  • On-site pediatric cardiology, with additional support from VCU subspecialists
